How to read your water meter.

How do I purchase credit for water?

• PayToday: Reference only your smart meter number, no prefixes eg: 987

• Airtime City: Reference ST and your smart meter number eg: ST987 (Vending Machines at retail outlets & Pay Buddy)

ONLY FNB EWALLETS ARE ACCEPTED!! Unfortunately we can no longer accept EasyWallet from Bank Windhoek, GreenWallet(MobiWallet) from Nedbank or BlueWallet from Standard Bank due to new regulations. We do not accept any responsibility of Wallets send from any other bank but FNB.

The smart Meter reports a leak, but I do not see one?

• Compare your actual meter reading with the reading displayed on the interface. If the reading on the interface is much higher than your actual meter reading, there might be false flow detection. If the reading on the interface is close to the reading on the actual meter, then you do actually have a leak somewhere, get a plumber.

• The interface reading and actual reading will differ depending on the last time the server was updated by the meter. The interface reading will be smaller than the actual reading. To see if the readings match, close the valve, and wait for the meter to update. With the valve closed the readings should match.

I do not think my meter is working correctly?

• Compare your actual meter reading with the reading displayed on the interface. This is the easiest way to see if your smart meter is functioning correctly. If the readings match, it means the smart meter is picking up the same flow your actual meter is picking up and is working perfectly. Thus do not ignore any notifications or alarms that was generated by the smart meter in such case!
